Today at around 1130 AM in a shopping center about a mile from my house, in my hometown of Abingdon, two deputies lost their lives. I drove by the scene on my way home from work (not knowing at the time what happened) and it was heartbreaking. This was a huge reminder that this kind of thing can happen anywhere, not just in cities or bad areas. My hearts go out to the family members of these two deputies and to their brothers and sister in Blue. This is a sad day for Harford County.
