Boldt Castle: The Alster Tower

Wednesday, October 12, 2016

The Alster Tower is so named due to the similarities to defense towers on the Alster River in Germany.  This building is often referred to as the Playhouse.   Seriously, this playhouse is bigger than any house I've ever lived in!  The Alster Tower was built mainly for guest entertainment.  It includes a bowling alley, billiard room, library, bedrooms, cafe, grill, and kitchen.  There is also a room called the Shell Room which was to be used for dancing.  The Alster Tower is currently undergoing renovations, but luckily we were still able to go inside on the first floor and bowling alley area. I couldn't stop snapping pictures!
