During my first trip to Arizona in 2008, Alex's family took me and Kristin to an old west town called Rawhide. I loved this place and would love to go back.
We walked around for a little while just to see what there was and get a feel for the place. We went into some of the stores which were all western themed. Then, we decided to do a Stagecoach ride. Best decision ever! The ride was about 20 minutes long and we went right around sunset which made for some pretty great photos and some awesome views.
After that, we got sent to jail - our parents always said it would happen. The jailer made us do some pretty ridiculous things in order to get out of jail. After they released us from jail we headed to dinner at the restaurant on the property before heading back home.
The
restaurant, Rawhide Steakhouse, was really good and I highly recommend
eating there if you are ever at Rawhide. They had a live band, great
food and a great atmosphere. Also, they have a wall of photos of famous
people who have eaten there including Arnold Schwarzenegger, Josh
Turner, Aaron Tippin, and Charlie Daniels.
If you are ever in the Phoenix area, I highly recommend a stop in at rawhide. It was such a great little town and so much fun!
