On Saturday my sister and I took a mini day trip to Annapolis. We wanted to spend more time there but it was cold and cloudy, and my sister received some bad/sad news that morning so we decided to just do the Naval Academy and wander a little bit.
We decided to pay the $10 (actually $8 with military discount) and do the hour and 15 minute guided tour. I'm glad we did because we learned a lot of information about the buildings and the academy that we never would have gotten had we not done the tour. Our guide was great and very knowledgeable - the tour was definitely worth it. After the tour was over I wanted to wander a bit but we were both starving. We ended up at a small Irish place downtown. The food was mediocre but as I said, we were starving, so we didn't care. After that we walked down to the water and wandered through some of the shops for a bit and then decided to call it a day.
We decided to come back again on a day that wasn't so cold and cloudy and on a day that we had more time. We both really liked the town though and can't wait to go back and explore some more!
